Wajir County Assembly is the Legislative arm of the County Government responsible for the formulation of laws that regulate the conduct and activities within the County and provide oversight. Wajir Assembly comprises of elected and nominated Members of the County Assembly (MCA’s) who sit on various committees of the Assembly. Committees of the Assembly are essentially the engine rooms of the Assembly. They enable the Assembly to consider matters before it thoroughly before resolutions are made at the Plenary

Our Objectives
- To develop a well-resourced, efficient, effective and sustainable 21 century legislative institution, able to deliver on its mandate
- To improve service delivery of the County Government of Wajir through enactment of progressive laws and policies and effective exercise of oversight.
- To develop an enabling policy and legislative framework for enhanced socio-economic political and cultural development for Wajir County.
- To foster a collaborative approach with neighboring counties for mutually beneficial policy, legislation and regulations.
- To develop an informed population in Wajir that is able to participate meaningfully in its own development and influence decisions that affect it.
